At the Park, Finding Ways to Talk About Christ

On a daytrip to Denton, Carole and I ate at the Classic Restaurant (country cooking and great food), walked about the small downtown area and park, sat and talked under the large gazebo/shelter, and met bike-riding Gavin Bean who answered my friendly questions about his life and family. He said he was a 2009 graduate headed for Army boot camp in October. I told him I pastored a church and asked when he last talked to a minister. He said about a month ago. I asked what they talked about. He said he didn't remember. I told him that we ministers liked to talk about Christ, that he died on the cross for us so that we could go to Heaven.

“I am so glad for that,” he said.
