Carole and I hate hotels, except for the room that is blocked for us in Atlanta by precious friends. So for vacations we enjoy day trips, and then being back at home in our own bed. Last week we made trips to Hanging Rock, Blowing Rock, Old Salem, and Guilford Military National Park, plus a drive 60 miles up to Danville, Virginia. It was truly down-time for each of us. I enjoyed the experiences immensely, but mostly being with Carole. She's a delight!
