Boring and Affected, Getting Silly Again
The worst of my silliness surfaces when someone greets me by saying, “Doin’ okay.” Ignoring that they may be asking me about my health (or not), I reply with “Thank you!” as if they were complimenting me. If they ask emphatically, “How are you doing?” I answer “Doing what?”

I know. I can get quite boring.
I recall years ago several men visiting with me from a local ministry. One of the men impulsively talked about himself. I enjoyed him a lot and his life was interesting but he provided too much information for just one visit. Going out the door, I overheard him say to his companions, “Well, boys, I did it again!”
