Contented in the Country

Carole is better used to living in the country than I am. I grew up in the city. The closest I came to the farm was on visits to my grandparents many years ago. I especially remember the wood cookstove, the spring house, the outhouse (two-seater), and the chickens and cows (as in fresh eggs and milk for breakfast).

We live in the old homeplace where Carole grew up. She remembers the fresh eggs and two-seater. The house is about 75 years old and has some needs, but we do okay. We especially enjoy the wide open spaces, the country air, and being close to family.

Also we have opportunity to provide ministry in the area, so are content.
