Losing Out Trying to be a Hit
Karen has been my dental hygienist for at least 5-6 years. We got started early on talking about running and exercise. I remember telling her about a little dog that followed me one morning for about forty minutes around a half-mile trail. I told her I didn't know how far little dogs could run, so I tried to chase it away, but it wouldn't chase, also that I tried to outrun it, but couldn't do that either.
"How far did you run?" she asked.
"Oh, about five miles," I bragged.
She was impressed.
"What a great little dog!" she said.
